The Knowledge and Research Programme on Disability and Healthcare Technology ran from 2000 until 2003 and aimed to support the development and application of appropriate technologies to:
  • improve healthcare technologies and infrastructure for poor people
  • minimise the detrimental effects of disability on the lives of poor people.
The programme was managed by GIC Ltd. and Healthlink Worldwide and was supported by the UK Department for International Development (DFID).
