This
project aims to improve solid waste management in the health services in
Nepal and to contribute to the development of policy for the sector.
The project recognises the need to build support for such a
policy and seeks to involve public representatives as well as officials
from the Ministry of Health. A
wide range of specific technologies will be used although the main focus
of the project is the effective management of technologies.
The team is well-placed within the Ministry of Health to carry
out this work and has the appropriate experience.
The project is linked to existing WHO guidelines and has a strong
blend of technology, training and management.
