This
data will be used to advocate for funding of further and wider-scale research
to produce evidence to convince policy makers of the need to include vision
correction in their agendas.
Local
research will be conducted by Aravind Eye Hospital, Madurai, India and
the Ghana Institute of Linguistics, Literacy and Bible Translation (GILLBT),
an affiliate of the Summer Institute of Linguistics (SIL), the world’s
largest international literacy NGO.
